Blind Faith is a locally owned and operated window treatment business in Crested Butte, Colorado, with a history spanning three decades. Founded in 1995 by Michael and Mary Shannon Baim, the company began in their home and grew into a full-scale operation including an extensive showroom showcasing a complete line of blinds, shades, shutters and drapery. After nearly 20 successful years in business, the Baims retired and currently remain active in the community. Blind Faith changed hands a few times over the next few years but finally In 2022 Anthony Perez was working as an installer and eventually purchased Blind Faith and now serves as its sole owner and operator.

 

Under his leadership, the company continues to specialize in sales and certified installation, with a reputable team known for being prompt, thorough and knowledgeable. The revamped Blind Faith showroom, which is still in its original location in the Riverland Industrial Park of Crested Butte, currently showcases Hunter Douglas, Lutron, Draper, Coulisse and a complete collection of fabric by Kasmir Fabrics. Blind Faith has recently expanded into exterior solutions, such as motorized patio screens and manual screen doors by Phantom Screens, designed for durability, ease of use, and versatility. Recently celebrating 30 years, Blind Faith remains committed to offering service behind the blind.

 

Anthony Perez moved to Crested Butte from Minnesota in 2004 as an undergraduate student at Western and a natural lover of the outdoors. He started out as a ski instructor and eventually moved on to be a concierge at the Grand Lodge while finishing college. After graduation, he launched his first company called CB Specialty Services. The private concierge service started as a vacation planning and grocery delivery services and ultimately morphed into a private car service which was later re-branded to CB Limo. In 2017 CB Specialty Services sold to Sharon Duran and in 2018 CB Limo was sold to Alpine Express.

 

Between 2018 and 2022 Anthony worked a variety of jobs including Front Office Manager at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square and even went back to his original passion of ski instructing. He started installing blinds at a side hustle and ended up taking a liking to the technical and customer service side of the business. Helping people make the most of their window treatments turned out to be a great fit for Anthony. When the current owners made him an offer, it was an offer he couldn’t refuse. As the sole owner / operator of Blind Faith, Anthony continues to raise the bar of customer service and only offer the highest quality products available.
